DC vs GT 2023 Venue

The Feroz Shah Kotla Ground is a cricket stadium located in New Delhi, India. It is the second oldest cricket stadium in India after the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) manages and controls the stadium.

The stadium has been a venue for international cricket matches since 1948, when the first ever Test match was played there between India and West Indies. It is also home to the Delhi Ranji team and Delhi Capitals in the Indian Twenty20 League.

Many records have been created at the Feroz Shah Kotla Ground. For example, Anil Kumble took 10 wickets in a single Test innings against Pakistan in 1999.

Sunil Gavaskar also equaled Don Bradman’s tally of 29 Test centuries in 1983, and Sachin Tendulkar broke Gavaskar’s record of 34 Test centuries by scoring his 35th against Sri Lanka in 2005.

The Kotla had faced some criticism in 2009 when an ODI between India and Sri Lanka was abandoned due to the pitch being deemed unfit. Following this incident, the ground was banned from hosting international cricket for 12 months.

However, it returned to international cricket in 2011 when it hosted matches of the 50-over World Cup. The Indian cricket team has remained unbeaten for more than 31 years at this stadium, making it one of their most successful hunting grounds in Tests.
